Vitali Klitschko was born on July 19, 1971, in the village of Bilovodske in the Kyrgyz SSR, where his father, a military pilot, Volodymyr Rodionovych Klitschko, served. His mother, Nadiia Ulyanivna Klitschko, was a teacher. Vitali has a younger brother, Volodymyr, who also became a famous boxer, and an older sister, Iryna.
