- Master’s degree in Finance at Donetsk National University. It was here that Ivan received his basic economic education in 1998-2003, which gave him fundamental knowledge of financial analysis, accounting, investments and banking.
- He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Business School of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Ivan Geliukh received his MBA degree in 2013-2015. DTEK Renewables International (DRI)
CEO
January 2025 — September 2025
In 2025, Ivan became the head of DTEK Group’s European renewable energy division. The company is implementing a large-scale strategy to develop “green“ generation in Poland, Romania, Italy,

Croatia and other European countries.
Tasks and goals in the position:
- Strategic management of DRI in the European Union;
- Realization of the goal: to reach 5 GW of installed capacity by 2030;

D.Trading

D.Trading is DTEK’s trading division operating in the international energy markets. Under Ivan’s leadership, the company has significantly increased its energy trading volumes and expanded its geography.

- Entry into 23 countries;
- Active work on 22 energy exchanges;
- Significant increase in exports and imports of electricity, LNG, coal, and gas;
- Expanding the company’s role in European energy chains.
DTEK Grids (DTEK Grids)

February 2018 – June 2022
DTEK Grids is an operating holding company that unites distribution companies in Kyiv, Dnipro and Donetsk regions. Ivan Geliukh was responsible for infrastructure development, servicing more than 3.6 million customers, and implementing innovative solutions in the energy supply industry.
Key achievements:
- Launch of the automated dispatching system ADMS (GE Digital) in Kyiv;
- Online grid connection service (jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation) in 5 regions;
- Introduction of drones for technical inspection of power lines;
- Pilot project for monitoring low-voltage lines using Swiss technology;
- Connecting more than 2,500 home solar power plants to the grid in 2020.
DTEK / Kyivenergo / Vostokenergo
2005 – 2018
For more than ten years, Ivan held senior positions in DTEK’s structures, where he was in charge of investments, strategy development, regulatory policy and commercial activities.
- Kyivenergo. He worked from 2008 to 2013 and held the positions of Chief Investment Officer, Chief Regulatory Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer.
- DTEK. From 2013 to 2018, he worked for the holding’s parent company, where he held the positions of Deputy Commercial Director and Head of Electricity Distribution and Sales.
- Vostokenergo (Vostokenergo). At the beginning of his career at DTEK, from 2006 to 2008, he was the Chief Investment Officer of the company’s electricity generation and coal mining business.
Early career (before DTEK)
In 2001, while still a student, Ivan Geliukh got a job as an economist at INTRON, a consulting company, where he rose to the status of a leading economist. In 2005, he continued his career at Sarepta Company.
