Childhood and family

Maksym Kozytskyi was born on February 19, 1981, in Lviv. His father, Zinoviy Kozitsky, is known as a successful businessman. Maksym has a brother, Stepan. His wife, Oksana Kozytska, and he have two children: son Zinoviy and daughter Sofia.

Education

Maksym Kozytskyi completed his secondary education at Mykolaiv Secondary School No. 1 in Lviv Oblast. From 1998 to 2004, he studied at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, where he majored in surgery. He completed his second degree by correspondence at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Management of Organizations, Master’s Degree, 2007) and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Accounting and Auditing, Specialist in Accounting and Auditing, 2007).

Career

Maksym Kozytskyi started his professional career as a surgery intern at the Internship of the FPDO of Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University, where he worked from August 2004 to February 2006. In 2006, he received his Master of Medicine degree in General Medicine from Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University.

He did not work from February to December 2006. From January to September 2007, he held the position of Deputy Director at Ukrmedresurs LLC.

In September 2007, he joined the Lviv Regional Health Center as a medical methodologist, where he worked until May 2009. At the same time, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrnaftogazinvest LLC from September 2007 to November 2010.

In November 2010, he became Deputy General Director for General Affairs at Ukrnaftogazinvest LLC, where he worked until June 2014.

From December 2009 to June 2014, he also served as CEO and Deputy CEO at Prykarpattya Energy Company LLC.

In June 2014, he became Deputy General Director at Prykarpattya Energy Company LLC, where he worked until October 2016.

From October 2016 to January 2020, he was the head of Eco-Optima LLC. In 2012, this company received a €13.3 million loan from the EBRD to develop its energy business. In 2013, the company received another loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to purchase two Vestas turbines.

Since February 5, 2020, he has been the head of the Lviv Regional Administration. He also heads the Lviv regional organization of the Servant of the People party.
