Vadym Denysenko was educated at prestigious Ukrainian universities. He is a graduate of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where he specialized in Ukrainian language and literature. He also graduated from the Faculty of Humanities at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. In 2003, he defended his PhD thesis at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Vadym Denysenko’s career began in 2004 when he became editor-in-chief of the newspaper Pervaya Krymskaya. Later, he worked as the editor-in-chief of the weekly Komentari and founded Espresso TV. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Ukrainian Parliament. Since 2016, he has been the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.
