Good afternoon, dear readers! Today we are going to find out who Prytula is. Serhiy Prytula was born on June 22, 1981 in Zbarazh, Ternopil region. He is a well-known Ukrainian public and political figure, founder of the Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation, volunteer, TV presenter, and actor.
In 2019, Serhii became a member of the Golos party, from which he ran for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and for mayor of Kyiv in 2019. On June 7, 2021, he announced his resignation from the party. In 2022, Prytula’s team planned to register a new political party.
Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Serhii has been volunteering for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He initiated the People’s Bayraktar fundraising project. On August 18, 2022, thanks to an all-Ukrainian charity fundraiser, Serhii bought a satellite from the Finnish company ICEYE for the Armed Forces.
Serhiy met his first wife, Yulia Andriychuk, in 2007 in Ternopil, and later divorced. Serhiy and Yulia have a son, Dmytro (born in 2008). In the summer of 2015, Serhiy married Kateryna Sopelnyk from Donetsk. On July 27, 2017, their daughter Solomiia was born. On May 25, 2021, Serhiy Prytula and his wife Kateryna Sopelnyk had a daughter, Stefania. This is Serhiy Prytula’s third child and the second from his second marriage.
Interests and hobbies
Serhiy is a sports enthusiast. He used to play airsoft, but gave up the hobby because he believes that such entertainment is inappropriate during the war. Favorite movies: “The Missing Letter,” “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors,” and “Pulp Fiction.” Prytula does not eat during filming because she believes that an actor should be hungry. While filming for the program “CabrioLito”, he jumped with a safety net from a 40-meter bridge in Zaporizhzhia.
