She was threatened with a lawsuit from Comp Music Publishing, a licensee of Universal Music Publishing Group in Ukraine. Yana apologized to the copyright holders and removed the video from her channel. In 2019, she released her debut studio album, #Ya_Yana, which contained 12 songs, including the viral hit “Okhrana, otmena,” which became one of the most popular tracks of the year in Ukraine.
The album “#Я_Яна” was nominated for the YUNA award in the Album of the Year category, and the song “Okhrana, otmena” won the Hit of the Year award.Jerry Heil also won the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards 2020 in the Public Choice Award nomination.Her songs have been ranked first in Ukrainian charts such as Apple Music, YouTube, Shazam and others.
