Early years and education

Mikhail S. Lyzanets was born in 1990 in the Luhansk region. From an early age, he showed interest in information technology, which became the basis for his further professional development. In 2011, he graduated from Taras Shevchenko University with a degree in Information Technology. After that, Mykhailo continued his education at the London Business School, where he gained the necessary knowledge and skills to work in the financial sector.

Start of his career and the idea of Moneyveo

After studying in London, Mykhailo worked for four different companies for several months, which gave him valuable experience. It was in London that he came across the business model of Wonga, an online lending company. The idea fascinated him, and he decided to implement it in Ukraine. After returning home, he gathered a team of like-minded people and founded Moneyveo.

Founding and development of Moneyveo

In 2013, Mykhailo Lyzanets and Viktor Topolov founded Moneyveo. The first loans were issued in November of that year. Thanks to its innovative approach to lending, the company quickly gained popularity among Ukrainians. Moneyveo was the first company in Ukraine to offer online credit to a card, which greatly simplified the process of obtaining loans for customers.

Financial achievements and recognition

In 2016, Moneyveo became one of the leaders in the online non-bank lending market in Ukraine. In 2018, the company was ranked among the five most profitable in the field of small short-term non-bank lending. In 2019, Moneyveo generated net income of UAH 2.986 billion, an increase of 228% year-on-year.

Mykhailo Lyzanets was recognized as the “Manager of the Year” at the national program “Person of the Year 2016”. The award ceremony took place on March 25 at the National Palace “Ukraine”. This award is a testament to the high level of appreciation for the work of Mikhail and his team.

Social responsibility and charity

  1. Financial and material support

    • Military support: During the full-scale war, the company transferred more than UAH 16 million to the needs of the Armed Forces and more than UAH 5 million for humanitarian needs. The company meets the needs of the frontline by sending the necessary items and equipment.
    • Charity: Almost since its inception, Moneyveo has been cooperating with the orphanage in Vorzel, sending funds to the institution’s account every month and organizing holidays for children. The company also supports the U4UA Foundation, which provides monthly medical assistance to children with disabilities and injuries sustained in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
    • Responding to urgent requests from society: Helping to restore buildings damaged by the occupiers, donating equipment, stationery and furniture to various institutions.
  2. Educational support

    • Scholarship at the Kyiv School of Economics: In 2019, Mykhailo Lyzanets established a scholarship at the Kyiv School of Economics to help talented students obtain a quality education.

Personal life.

Mykhailo Lyzanets keeps his personal life a secret. It is known that his wife’s name is Tetiana, and his parents’ names are Serhii and Liubov. Sergiy Lyzanets is involved in the agricultural business and in the 2000s headed the Milovsk Refined Oil Plant and was a regional deputy. He helped Mykhailo financially at the beginning of Moneyveo’s creation, formalizing part of the investment as a loan, which Mykhailo is still paying back. Mykhailo also owns a house in Spain, where his mother probably lives.
